I’m 6ft tall, 175lbs wearing a size Medium Tall above.
MATERIALS
70% Cotton, 30% Polyester. On a scale from 1 (thinnest) to 10 (thickest), this hoodie is probably a 7.5.
FIT
The Essential Popover Hoodies come in both Regular and Tall lengths. Tall sizes are 2″ longer in the body and 1″ longer in sleeve length. I noticed that the hoodie looked a bit short/scrunched on the model images, which is why I went with size Medium Tall (I’m 6ft 175lbs). The fit is a bit oversized, but nothing crazy (see my YouTube review video below to see how it fits).
COMFORT
This hoodie has the classic fleece interior that the best hoodies have. It is super soft and comfortable – absolutely love it.

Overall
Overall, this hoodie exceeded my expectations. I’m very picky with hoodies and Abercrombie made it easy for me to put my name behind this one. One of the potential problems I mentioned in the video was that I didn’t know if the hoodie would hold up after many wash/dry sessions based on how soft it felt. I can now confirm, after at least 15-20 washes/dries it holds up incredibly well.
PROS
- Super soft and comfortable with fleece interior
- Great color selection
- Has surprisingly held up very well after 15-20 machine washes/dries
- It’s a good looking hoodie (also has no strings)
- They give you two length options (Regular, Tall)
CONS
- This hoodie is a bit pricey (they do sometimes go on sale though)
- If you prefer a slim fit hoodie, this probably wouldn’t be the one you want
- An argument could be made about the hood being too small
