Cuts AO Joggers

MATERIALS

The Cuts AO Joggers are made of 100% Polyester. After feeling these, I’m not surprised that they’re 100% polyester (some polyester material can feel different than the typical cool to the touch polyester – example: Ponto Shorts). I do wish they incorporated spandex throughout the material, because these aren’t very stretchy (other than the waist band sides and back of the leg holes).

HOW DO THEY WASH? HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED THEM?

These wash and dry well. I’ve owned them for years now and have machine washed/dried them probably over 25 times without issue. No shrinking or falling apart. Once in a while I’ll notice a loose string, but nothing too bad. I have seen a couple comments about bad pairs, but Cuts is pretty good about exchanging without issue.

FIT

When I first got the AO Joggers, I tried both Medium and Small sizes (I was 165lbs at the time). You can see my initial impressions in the YouTube video below. A year later, after gaining some weight (now 178lbs), the Mediums became uncomfortably tight due to their limited stretch and I have no chance with the smalls. So, I ordered a Large, surprisingly loved the fit and ordered 2 more. All of the images in this review showcase the Large size (I’m 6ft, 178lbs), while the YouTube video below features the Small and Medium. I think most people will find that these joggers run small.

Inseam Length: XS = 27in, S = 27.5in, M = 28in, L = 28.5in, XL = 29in, XXL = 29.5in

Leg Hole Opening: Medium = 5in, Large = 5.25in

COMFORT

These have mediocre comfort. As mentioned earlier, I wish they were a bit stretchier throughout the fabric itself. It does help that they have a stretchy waistband (elastic on each side). The larges have enough space in the thighs for me, but if I only tried the size medium, this would be an issue. If you have thick thighs, you may not even be able to wear these at all. The material feels a bit cool on your skin due to the polyester, but it’s not too bad.

OVERALL

Overall, these are very nice looking belt loop joggers. I do wish they were stretchier, but after moving to a larger size, they are relatively comfortable. The fit is great (slim without being too snug) and I think most people will really like these. With that being said, if you’re on the bigger side, they may not be for you. If you read the website reviews about all the people trying the XXL AO Joggers, they almost all leave a negative review. If you’re in the market for belt loop joggers that look great, these are a solid option, but I’d recommend waiting for a sale to snag them.

PROS

  • They look great
  • Pretty good color selection (although they could be better)
  • Belt loops so you can wear casually or dress them up
  • Slim leg hole opening
  • They are offered in Tall sizes now

CONS

  • Too expensive at full price (they do go on sale a lot though)
  • Could be more stretchy/comfortable
  • Sizing is a bit off (they run small)
